Notice regarding recently-reported Ruby regular expression vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-89078, CVE-2026-93577, CVE-2026-97229, CVE-2026-110264)

On October 23, 2026, the Ruby project released security fixes for vulnerabilities in its regular expression engine (CVE-2026-89078, CVE-2026-93577, CVE-2026-97229, CVE-2026-110264). Cloudinary upgraded its core platform, including its upload, transformation, and delivery APIs and Console, to the patched Ruby version on the same day. Our review found no evidence of exploitation and no impact on customers or customer data. No action is required on your part for the Cloudinary platform. Customers who use Ruby in their own applications, including with the Cloudinary Ruby SDK, should update Ruby in their environments to a patched release (3.3.13, 3.4.12, 4.0.9 or later).

Your coding agent knows when Cloudinary is down, and tells you when a failure is theirs, not yours. You can also get Cloudinary incidents in a feed reader or in Slack.

Prompt
Install the outages.live MCP server, so that when something breaks you can tell if the cause is a provider we depend on and not my code. It reads the official status pages of cloud, AI, payment and developer providers and gives you their incidents as MCP tools.

Add it as a remote MCP server named "outages" at https://outages.cc/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no authentication), with your CLI command or your MCP config file.

Then:
1. Make sure it connects and shows the tools get_provider, list_feed and send_feedback.
2. Call get_provider with "cloudinary" and tell me if Cloudinary has a problem right now.
3. From now on, when a call to a third-party service fails or becomes slow, call get_provider for that service before you change my code.

Paste this into any coding agent. It adds the server with its own MCP setup.
